That would be too small for me. I'd leave it on a bus or something. Very nice!

I just read that the official webpage is now live. Apparently this is a laptop/iPhone combo. I bet it will be the next big thing for sure. At $499, it will sell like hotcakes.

Gizmodo, the Gadget Guide

I swear to God, the iPad has completely taken over Gizmodo's front page and it's nearly consumed the second page.

LOL@ the edit there.

I can't believe the bad press it's been getting today! Never seen such a backlash to an Apple product before. Do you guys think it's deserved or are people just jumping on the bashing bandwagon without finding out for themselves what it's all about?

if they would make an attempt to actually incorporate massively used media connections " As simple as usb" and stopped making propitiatory connection adapters that stick out of the device like tumors or hell! even give it an Easy side handle or grip or hell!! a stand like most digital picture frames have so you can you know..STAND it up instead of bending your neck to look straight down at it. if you at a table you would have to wear special Grit Grip gloves to handle and use the i-device Sweaty palms on slick aluminum and gloss plastic = slip grip...

its not a new generation of device its just a VERY limited Lite Version of a Tablet its a (Tablet LE) for children Great for parents because they can Take it away from the little one with ease if it gets too deep in to face book or my space unlike a pc or heavy laptop the I-device can be Yanked away with nary a thought of damaging the device as there so light and

flimsy..

the tobacco representatives in my area have nice fully featured tablet's and they run windows have a dvd drive 4 usb 2.0 ports hardwire/Wifi 3g touch screen with or with out stylus and complete with a on screen keyboard.

talking to the guys using them say there way better than the old set it down and crack it open laptop setup that used to cost an extra 5 miniutes on site to do the orders.

to an already fully applized individual the i-pad would probably go no further than the coffee table and it would probably live pretty long life there as well and get alot of use when theres nothing entertaining immediately in front of them .

now they will milk the community by incrementally upgrading the device but forcing the first owners to accept what they got or shell out again for the new "improved device"

i will give apple props for being able to stick Crap in interesting packages.

This is just a big waste of time; The web-browser doesn't even support flash media. It is nothing that an ipod touch and an iphone. Most people who buy this will already have both of those anyways.

I would never ever buy anything like this. It seems like a major waste of time.
