I have a pretty new desktop computer running Windows 7. Well, I installed Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 on my computer, but can't get it to run. Whenever I try to run this game I get a DirectX error message which says "Please make sure you have DirectX 9.0 or higher installed. Verify that your video card meets the requirements and that you do not have hardware acceleration disabled". I have installed the latest DirectX and hardware acceleration is not disabled. I have latest graphics card with updated drivers. Can anyone help me to get it run smoothly?

Any help will be appreciated.

im pretty useless with a game pad so iv never really adopted console gaming systems.

i was really interested in the first Gunhazzard for snes i only ever seen screen shots in magazines untranslated later played it emulated and translated and was pretty happy with the game.

later found out theres a Second one but called FrontMission for snes

the first fm (gunhazzard) was side scrolling mech robo contra style shootie beatem up was neat not unlike Cybernator or Metal warriors for snes.

front mission was a turn based top down customizable mech strategy game but the attack scenes played out in a pleasing manner with all sorts of shootin n esplodin! customizing the (Wanzers) ..god i'll never understand how that word has anything to do with giant stomping shooting mechas of genocidal firepower per-portions. customizing them was cool swap arms legs torso backpack shoulder weapons held weapons all sorts of variety.

after front mission i was sold

then a frontmission 3 hit ps1 that was awesome

ps2 had fm4 fm5 and a frontmission online thing that i had never ever ever seen ..ever eyes would probably joygasm at the sight of it.

but now

i hear its coming out in september some time

Frontmission Evolved! losing the turn based strategy and embracing 3rd person real time full throttle mecha action to sooth my lack of having any new big mecha games for the pc for Eons! what happed? why did the big mecha game become over done?! why was the such a dead spot in pc mecha game releases?

anyway heres the link FRONT MISSION EVOLVED | SQUARE ENIX

i will admit ... the game play looks like its already been done by

Exteel: Free Online Multiplayer Game from NCsoft

but nc soft's a wallet leach grubbing dollars for a few days use of decent non free items.

if one does not embrace the pay to equip scheme they become very easy targets for the members that paid for elite suits and murder death killzookas.

not a very awesome image for FM Evolved but thoes interested they will seek more info.

..metal warriors needs to be resurrected too
