Firefox races to beat Microsoft to better graphics

The technology in question is hardware-accelerated graphics and text using interfaces called Direct2D and DirectWrite that provide an easy way to use graphics cards' computing power. They're built into Windows 7, and Microsoft is bringing them to Windows Vista but not Windows XP.

Firefox is already working on this and confident they will be first past the post.

Firefox should stay in there domain IMO. And not wander off into unknown land!

And you know what happens 99% of time when you enter against MS. Acquisition ! Buy OUT !! lol.. . 1% being Google.

Yeah, I know you meant Opera. And why would they? Microsoft could throw tons of development money at FF.
